Golfer Takes Swing at Big Dream - Osprey Observer, 2008

"I LOVE THE COMPETITION…IT'S THE ULTIMATE
THRILL," STATES PRO GOLFER BRIAN ROGALSKI
WHO WILL PLAY ON THE 2008 NATIONWIDE TOUR.
Rogalski has tested his game and enjoyed success in such developmental tours as the National Golf Association's Hooters Tour in 1999 and 2001 and the local Moonlight Tour from 1998-2000, 2002 and 2003. Every summer since 2004, he has played in events on the PGA's Nationwide Tour, in order to sharpen his skills and compete at a higher level. This year is a little different, however. In October, Rogalski will travel to Midland, TX Chattanooga, TN and Miami, FL to participate in three Nationwide Tour events with the intent of using these tournaments as the dry run that will prepare him for an entire season on the 2008 Nationwide Tour.
"My goal is to get out there and play full-time," states Rogalski who has been training since the age of 16 under LPGA Master Teaching Professional Patricia Kimball, one of only 72 women, verses 339 men, carrying the title. Referred to by Rogalski as both his "golf coach and sports psychologist," Kimball has her own take on Rogalski's determination towards the sport saying, "He has worked diligently, as the calluses on his hands prove. His course management is exceptional and I think he is definitely ready."
Rogalski, who bartends by night at a south Tampa restaurant to keep his days free for playing and practicing at the Bloomingdale Golfer’s Club, has worked diligently both on his game and his financial plan. Through sponsor investments, he has already hit the halfway mark of the $110,000 needed for his 2008 budget. "I feel I've been blessed with family, friends and business associates who express a genuine concern for me and my future," expresses Rogalski whose ultimate goal is to play alongside the big names on the PGA Tour.
With the help of those who believe in his ability, the golf enthusiast is closer than ever to attaining his dream. "It's exciting because this is the closest that Brian's ever been to playing full-time professional golf," exclaims Blake Cannon, business manager and friend of Rogalski for the past 10 years.
